You know that feeling when you’re caught up in a good story?

(I was in the middle of reading The Poisonwood Bible when I started writing this.)

When I’m caught up in an unfolding story, I care about the characters, their saftey, their love. I care about the world they live in and when I’m not reading it, I’m walking in a liminal space where I feel like I have one foot in the “real” world and one foot in the world of the story. The last book I was all caught up in was inspired by true events in history. It was well researched and the truth of what happened was backed up by first hand accounts and proof. So there was an even deeper sense of ownership attached.

Do you remember a time when you understood something in a way that made you want to change it. Make it better. Help other people to learn and fight for justice and understanding?

We get invited into the causes and passions of others at every opportunity. We can be inundanted with options and coaches and influencers and thought leaders and there’s this temptation to feel like it’s all too much to choose from.

The thing I’m building

I don’t know about you but I want my inner world to be as real as the outer one. I want it to be as motivating and inspiring and powerful as when I’m lost in a story that moves me deeply. I want my story to leave an impression on others and to linger on with them the way a good story does.

We’re starting out this journey together

I started writing this blog while I was reading a book while I was working on this website- this place to collect thoughts and words and connect with the people that I’m meant to support. It’s not about all the options out there, it’s not about commiting to another thing. It’s about commiting to the power of your own story and getting it clear and effortless and making content that touches the hearts of the people you’re meant to connect with. I’d love to hear if any of this resonates with you. Being in the process of refining hopes, communicating clearly, and dreaming big is something I am walking with you. I know I can help with creative blocks and I am working on mine as I put out these podcast episodes and market myself!
